Every tenth student
experiences cyberbullying,
also due to leaked photos.

They often spread not only among their classmates, but also among strangers. We want the online space to become a safer place. That's why we stand by the victims of cyberbullying and support them. Let’s respect the privacy of others and not share what could cause harm.

You are not alone

We believe that no one should experience what you are going through, but the statistics show a sad reality:
thousands of young people across Slovakia have had their trust betrayed.

60 %
of students
face sexting.
18,000
students have fallen victim to sexting after their intimate content was shared and distributed without their consent.
1/3
of them never share their bad experience with anyone.

What to do if your intimate photos
have been leaked online?

Don't blame
yourself

If your trust has been betrayed, it’s not on you. Instead of turning the guilt inward, focus on finding a way forward.

Report
intimate content

If the pictures of you are being shared online without your permission, report it to the relevant platform. If you're under 18, they must remove them from their sites immediately.

Talk to
an adult

Tell a trusted adult about the problem. If you find it difficult to talk face-to-face, you may send a text, email or voice message instead.

Report it to
the police

If you’re under 18 and someone shares your intimate photos, it’s a crime. Talk to a trusted adult and consider reporting it to the police.

Ask for
help

You don't need to fight this situation alone. Seek help from professionals.

It will be okay

Learn about Patrik's story, who went through the same thing you are experiencing now a few years ago.
As he says himself, no matter how bad the situation seems, don't deal with it alone, seek help
and everything will be okay.

Slovakia and cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is a much bigger problem in Slovakia than you might think. This is one of the reasons why we supported
the Institute for Public Affairs' study on cyberbullying in secondary schools.
